根據FIBA 2008規則註釋 ART.24 運球
在不視為投籃動作的狀況下，將球丟向籃板視同地板，如果該球員在球觸及其他球員，
或是被其他球員觸及前再行觸球，視為運球。
If a player deliberately throws the ball against a backboard (not attempting
a legitimate shot for a goal) this is considered the same as if the player has
bounced the ball on the floor. If the player then touches the ball again before
it has touched (or been touched by) another player, this is considered the same
as a dribble.
Example1:
A4尚未開始運球，此時A4將球丟向籃板反彈後，在其他球員觸及球之前再行持球。
解釋:
A4可以傳球或投籃，但不得再次運球。
Example2:
A4結束運球後，將球丟向籃板，在其他球員觸及球之前再行持球或觸及球。
解釋:
A4兩次運球違例。
