GARDNER Posted: July 28, 2006 The Milwaukee Bucks could be considering a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers that would send 6-foot-11 center Jamaal Magloire to the Western Conference team. The Bucks actively have been shopping Magloire, who has one year left on his contract at $8.3 million for the 2006-'07 season. According to various reports, Portland is prepared to send guard Steve Blake, forward Brian Skinner and 7-foot-3 center Ha Seung-Jin to the Bucks in exchange for Magloire. Bucks general manager Larry Harris would not comment on the situation when reached Friday night. Earlier in the week, Harris said the Bucks were hoping to get help at the point guard, small forward and center positions in a deal for Magloire. Blake, a former University of Maryland guard, played in 68 games and made 57 starts with Portland last season. He averaged 8.2 points and 4.5 assists in 26.2 minutes per game. Skinner, a 6-9 forward-center, split last season with Sacramento and Portland. He averaged 2.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in 38 games with the Kings, and he averaged 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 27 games with the Trail Blazers. Skinner had his best professional season with the Bucks in 2003-'04, when he started 54 of 56 games and averaged 10.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. Ha, from South Korea, was selected by Portland in the second round of the 2004 draft. He played in 27 games last season and averaged 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds. Magloire started for the Bucks last season, and 7-foot Andrew Bogut played at power forward. But the Bucks have committed to Bogut, the top overall pick in the 2005 draft, as their starting center this season, and they acquired second-year man Charlie Villanueva from Toronto to be the starter at power forward. Magloire played in all 82 games for the Bucks last season, averaging 9.2 points and 9.5 rebounds.
