The proposed deal began as a player-for-player swap involving Conley and Outlaw. At one point, Memphis was willing to include Hakim Warrick and asked for point guard Steve Blake. The Blazers countered with guard Sergio Rodriguez, who the Griz deemed a poor fit with their plans. A team source said the Griz don't have anything brewing on any front. The source predicted that the roster would remain the same for a while, and didn't anticipate any substantive talks before Feb. 1.
