Blazers General Manager Kevin Pritchard on Tuesday said Webster's doctors decided that he should remain in his protective orthopedic boot for another two weeks, then re-evaluate. Once post-boot rehab is factored in, and Webster returns to practices and gets into game shape, Pritchard thought Webster could be looking at close to the All-Star Break before being ready for a full return to action. "It's improving, but what we want to do is not put him in a position where he can reinjure it again," Pritchard said. "There's no guarantees, but we're just being cautious." The news was doubly bad considering the Blazers' current position. Blazers coach Nate McMillan said at Tuesday's practice that he is considering a change in the rotation in an attempt to find some balance to the offense, which has become inconsistent since Rudy Fernandez moved into the starting lineup in place of the injured Brandon Roy. Webster would provide an option at shooting guard if he were healthy, so having him out for a longer period is putting further strain on the Blazers' rotations. But don't expect that problem to be addressed with a trade. Despite numerous trade rumors over the last couple days ─ including mumblings about a swap for Eddie Curry (which I can say with near certainty will not happen) and a multi-team deal that would send Channing Frye to New York for forward David Lee ─ Pritchard said he feels "very little" urgency to make a trade. "We've always wanted a young team that was very coachable and that had a chance to grow," Pritchard said. "We don't get panicked. We don't go crazy. We stay calm waters. That's what we've really tried to do is stay calm waters through all this."
