Takahashi’s negotiating window closes on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET, and according to
a source, he has at least one Major League offer on the table. However, that may
not be enough to get the 28-year-old to the bigs this offseason. Instead, he co
uld return to Japan on a new multi-year deal with Seibu, one with opt-out clause
s that would allow him to return to the open market next year as an unrestricted
free agent rather than part of the posting system.
本周末是最後期限（跟岡本和真一樣時間），知情人士說高橋至少有拿到一張大聯盟約，不
過價碼可能不足以讓他決定前往美國。相反高橋有可能會選擇回日本跟西武獅續一張複數年
合約，並且附帶逃脫條款讓他能夠在明年以完全自由球員的身份進入市場，不需要再透過入
札制度。
