Mondesi's contract, which is filled with incentives, is believed to be worth
slightly more than $1 million.
The contract was finalized after Mondesi met with Braves manager Bobby Cox
and general manager John Schuerholz on Friday morning at Turner Field. The
veteran outfielder then passed a physical that was administered by Dr. Joe
Chandler.
Mondesi's mental makeup was a concern for the Braves. He had his contract
voided by both the Angels and Pirates last year because of personal problems.
