Robert Stovall
Smart guy, big curve and change, very successful in high school.
Stovall broke a 29-year-old state record for most wins in a season after going
18-1 this spring for Hokes Bluff High School in Hokes Bluff, AL. Also
registered a state-record 227 strikeouts in the campaign while compiling an
0.45 ERA in 104 innings pitched. Completed 18 of 21 starts. Went 12-2 with an
0.89 ERA and fanned 157 in 2006. At the plate, he hit .529 this spring with 13
home runs and 63 RBI. Batted .489 in 2006 and .490 in 2005. Named MVP of state
tournament. Has signed two home run baseballs for the Little League Hall of
Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Also a class valedictorian.
