Bucks trade for Gaines, 2 draft picks

The Milwaukee Bucks today acquired guard Reece Gaines and two second-round
draft picks (2006, 2007) from the Houston Rockets in exchange for guard
Mike James and center Zendon Hamilton.
Gaines, 6 foot 6 and 205 pounds, is a Madison native who attended Madison
West High School. He went on to star at the University of Louisville and was
selected by the Orlando Magic with the 15th pick in the 2003 NBA draft.
In his second NBA season, Gaines is averaging 2.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in
10 games for the Rockets.
James, 29, appeared in 47 games for Milwaukee this season and averaged 11.4
points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Hamilton, 29, averaged 3.2 points and
2.6 rebounds in 16 games.
The NBA trading deadline is 2 p.m. today.
