Igawa optioned back to Scranton
LHP Kei Igawa and his 6.79 ERA were sent back to Class AAA Scranton today and
INF Chris Basak was recalled.
The Yankees will skip his turn in the rotation the next time though. Asked if
Phil Hughes would step in on Aug. 4, Torre said, “We’ll see.”
Meanwhile, it’s raining here at Camden Yards. Terrific.
