[新聞] Berdych獲得捷克的Canary Award

Prerov, North Moravia, Nov 28 (CTK) - Czech tennis player Tomas Berdych, 22,
won the Golden Canary tennis poll for the third time in a row this year.
The award is annually bestowed on the best Czech tennis player representing the
Czech Republic.
Berdych, Wimbledon quarterfinalist, won ahead of Australian Open semifinalist
Nicole Vaidisova, who ended second in the poll.
Berdych advanced to the Wimbledon quarterfinal grand slam tournament this year.
Berdych was also "number one" of the Czech Davis Cup team when he defeated
Switzerland represented by world's best player Roger Federer in the World Group
playoff this year.
Until the ATP Masters Series in Paris Berdych was among candidates for the best
eight players of the season. He eventually ended 14th in the ATP chart.
