Tuesday, May 11, 2010 It's always hard to lose, especially when it's close. I was up 4-2 in the third set against Patty and had other chances too, like in some games I was up 40-0 or 40-15. She was playing like a Top 10, Top 15 player today. I know her ranking has fallen but she is fit and was playing really well today. Winning my doubles match helped. It was really close though. I think it was even longer than my singles match. If I lost the doubles, it would have been the worst day! I've had a lot of tennis today, I'll be going to the physio... I met Caroline in the locker room, and she lost too, so we were both very upset. To kill the pain we were eating chocolate :) My favorite is milk chocolate. I also like dark chocolate. I'm a chocoholic :) Especially after a long workout!! I'll relax a bit tonight and have a good dinner. I have a day off from matches tomorrow but I'll still come to the site. She's definitely one of my favorite singers and I like that song a lot. What is your career goal? Mateusz Everyone wants to be No.1 and win a Grand Slam. Of the four Grand Slams, I would say... I like grass, so maybe Wimbledon would be my goal. How do you feel about being so popular in Poland? John Well I know there haven't been many athletes from Poland at the top in sports, especially in tennis, so I understand why I'm popular at home. For sure I've done something big for the history of Polish tennis, but I try not to think about it too much. I just want to focus on doing my best every time I play. I want to show some good tennis if I'm on TV, as well :) ---------------------------------------------- Wednesday, May 12, 2010 Hi everyone! So I told you I was eating chocolate with Caroline in the locker room yesterday to get over our losses... we also went out for a late dinner around 10pm. We went for Japanese. I would say Italian is my favorite, Japanese is really good too. Then we watched a scary movie... Paranormal Activity... There's one part at the end that's so scary, we jumped so much, the computer almost fell off the bed!! Afterwards we thought, 'Oh my God, we're so stupid...' We were laughing so much after and it was a lot of fun, but it was SO SCARY. Today I just had a light hit and some treatment, and now I'm going to go to the city. I want to see something that's not just the courts and the hotel - it's the first chance I've had to go and see Madrid. I'll tell you about it tomorrow! Unfortunately I have to be quick today but I promise I will write more tomorrow and answer more questions!
