Daniele Arrigoni will replace Carlo Mazzone on
the Livorno bench next term, the Tuscan club have confirmed.
Arrigoni has today been named as the outfit's new tactician
and will be unveiled to the media on Tuesday morning.
The Amaranto were looking for a new boss,
given that Mazzone wouldn't be confirmed,
and Arrigoni was understood to be the probable new man in charge.
Arrigoni has been out of the game for some time after
he decided to surprisingly quit Cagliari at the end of last season.
He joined Torino but that move buckled after
the ‘old’ club collapsed financially and
new Granata chief Urbano Cairo hired Gianni De Biasi instead.
Arrigoni then moved back to Cagliari after the Week 1 dismissal
of Attilio Tesser, but resigned almost immediately after
his return wasn't welcomed by some fans and players alike.
Red Star's Walter Zenga, Parma's Mario Beretta and
Francesco Guidolin of Monaco were also contenders for the hotseat.
