Lazio swoop for Ledesma

Argentine youngster Cristian Ledesma will play for Lazio next season
after he left Lecce on Thursday evening.
“Lecce communicate that they have sold the playing rights of
footballer Cristian Ledesma to Lazio,” read a Giallorossi statement.
The Buenos Aires native had been strongly linked with the Biancocelesti
for some time and completed his move despite the club's involvement
in the Calciopoli trial.
Ledesma, born in 1982, had scored three goals in 93 Serie A games
for Lecce following his debut in March 2002.
The South American was netted at the specific request of
boss Delio Rossi who did manage him for his one season
on the Via Del Mare bench.
