Lee Rejects Roma Move
Lee Young-pyo has rejected a move to Italian giants AS Roma
and will stay at Tottenham Hotspur.
The South Korean star changed his mind at the last-minute
and will instead travel to Seoul to meet up with the national
team for Saturday’s Asian Cup qualifier with Iran.
There was speculation that the defender, a devout Christian,
changed his mind for religious reasons but the player denied
the claim on Korean news.
“I changed my mind for personal reasons,” he told MBC news.
“I will explain in more detail when I arrive in Korea but it
had nothing to do with religion.”
