The former pitching phenom hit an even .500 (7-for-14) in the first four games after the All-Star break, hitting his eighth and ninth homers and driving in five runs while scoring eight times. The 25-year-old was the catalyst in a four-game sweep of Wisconsin, going 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs in a 16-15 slugfest on June 23, 3-for-5 with three runs scored in an 13-0 rout on June 25 and 2-for-4 with a homer, three runs and two RBIs in Sunday's 11-8 win. In Ankiel's only hitless game (0-2 with two walks), the Swing managed a 2-1 win. For the week, the 6-foot-1 left-handed swinger led the league in on-base percentage (.650), slugging percentage (1.071), extra-base hits (four) and runs (eight).
