A.J. Burnett is expected to sign a five-year, $55 million contract with the
Blue Jays on Tuesday, FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal reports.
The Cardinals, said to be the only other team still in contention for
Burnett, would need to do something "extraordinary" to land the pitcher,
according to Rosenthal's source, and all indications are that they won't
guarantee a fifth year. Burnett's representatives reportedly informed the
Rangers and Nationals on Monday night that the right-hander had narrowed his
