In other news, not only did the Cavs try to purchase a pick in last week's draft, they also tried to make some trades. According to several league sources , the Cavs offered guard Larry Hughes to the Boston Celtics, but the Celtics instead decided on acquiring Ray Allen from the Seattle Supersonics.
