Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien is reportedly on course for a quicker than
anticipated return from injury, meaning he may yet be called upon for the
African Cup of Nations.
However, Essien has enjoyed a speedy rehabilitation and is now engaging in
light training, meaning he could be welcomed back to the first team picture in
the coming week.
News of Essien's potential availability will surely alert Ghana coach Ratomir
Dujkovic as he prepares his charges for Africa's continental cup.
Ghana kick off their campaign on January 23 against Nigeria, meaning Essien may
