蘭帕德成球迷最愛球星

蘭帕德擊敗杰拉德及魯尼，再次奪得2005年度英格蘭足球先生榮譽。這次選舉由
英格蘭足總在其網站進行。蘭帕德獲29%票數大熱勝出，第二、三位的謝拉特及朗尼
分別只得18%和16%。
英格蘭國家隊領隊埃歷克森稱讚蘭帕德是「近年我見過進步最大的球員。他不斷
變得更好。我想球迷一定很難選擇因為我們幸運地擁有數名真正出色的球員。但你不
能質疑他們的選擇。法蘭克從他的家庭、西漢姆及卻爾西受過優質的足球訓練。不單
從你和他談論球場上的表現，也當你和他談論戰術，你都能見到他的智慧。最重要的
是，法蘭克是一名出色的職業球員。在2005年他對我們而言實在卓越。他是一名全能
中場球員。希望他在夏天能為我們盡顯其卓越才華。」

Frank England's finest again

Frank Lampard has been voted the England national team's Player of
the Year for the second season running by supporters.
In the poll to decide 2005's top performer in internationals, carried
via the FA's website, the Chelsea midfielder won 29 per cent of the votes,
11 per cent more than Steven Gerrard in second and 13 per cent more than
third-place Wayne Rooney.
Lampard played nine times for England last year and scored three
goals. He will be presented with a trophy by one of the fans to have voted
before the game against Uruguay on March 1st.
He said of the vote: “The recognition you always crave is from the
fans. Especially the England fans who follow us wherever we go. To win it
last year was great but to win it again this year, when there are so many
other fantastic individuals in the England set-up, is a brilliant feeling
for me.”
England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson added: “He is one of the most
improved players that I have seen in the last few years. He gets better
and better all the time.
“Above everything, though, Frank is a very good professional. He has
been brilliant for us in 2005. He is a complete midfielder. Hopefully he
will be as brilliant as he can for us in the summer! Congratulations to
him.”
