Chelsea Youth opened this year's Milk Cup account in Northern Ireland with
a hard-fought win over local opposition this Monday evening.
牛奶盃又來啦～第一場比賽旗開得勝。
The squad has not had as many players to choose from this year as last
season due to the demands of the first team and reserves, but new youth
team coach Ruud Kaiser still finished the game demanding more from his
team despite the win.
今年不像去年有那麼多球員可以選擇，有些人被一軍和預備隊抓走了。
“It was a really physical game,” he said. “County Antrim fought, really
fought with a lot of players behind the ball, sometimes ten or even eleven
in their own half. We hammered the wall, and I thought it would be easy
after we scored so early, but they equalised. It was good to score then in
the next minute.”
身體對抗很激烈，而且對手很龜，還好被追平後又立刻得分。
The early goal came when new Spanish Number 10 Sergio Tejera hit home a
rebound after Liam Bridcutt's fine cross had been well met by Shaun
Cummings but saved.
第一球來自布里考特傳中孔明攻門被檔，新10號特亞拉補進。
The equaliser came in the 17th minute when a right-wing cross was met with
a fine shot which was deflected past Rhys Taylor.
但對手第17分鐘通過傳中+射門追平。
From a free-kick curled in from the left by Tejera a minute later, captain
Jack Cork headed what turned out to be the winner.

But the game still didn't get easy. “County Antrim booted the ball up
when they got it, and sometimes had two or three players running well in
our half, and we weren't as well organised for that in midfield as I
would like,” said Ruud.

“We lost too easily the ball. We can make it easier for ourselves by
being more patient. We have to work on that. It is a big lesson we have to
learn.”

All the same, Chelsea could have sealed the victory by going 3-1 up early
in the second-half. A fine Cummings pass set Miroslav Stoch away one on
one with the goalkeeper, but his shot hit the last man.
下半場孔明傳出好球，可惜斯托奇敗掉單刀。
“If we had made it 3-1,” Ruud said, “I think County Antrim would have
gone. But at 2-1 they really fought to the end.”
能 3-1 的話接下來就不用打這麼辛苦了。
Nana Ofori-Twamasi suffered Chelsea's only yellow card. Each Milk Cup game
is only one hour. Tomorrow, Tuesday, the youth team face Spartak Moscow,
kick-off 7pm.
