As world renowned footballers Michael Ballack and Andriy Shevchenko begin
their Chelsea playing careers, Jose Mourinho has discussed the reasons why
Chelsea's recently successful formula will not alter.

“It doesn't matter the player, his name, his status, his history,”
explained the manager at the close of Chelsea's US visit. “It doesn't
matter because the team will always come first.
球員永遠都不會比球隊來的重要，一切以球隊至上。
“You can have Pele, Maradona, you can have the best ever, but the team
will always be in front of players. Nothing or nobody can make me change
my belief in this.
就算是球王和馬拉杜納，也不能大於球隊，這是莫氏理念，改不了的。
“My decisions will be for the team, not for the players and Sheva,
Ballack, all of them, at the moment I make my choices, I forget their
status.
要做決定時先想到的是球隊。
“I forget their status, their history, how much they earn each month and
how much they cost the club. When I make my choices it is about the daily
work and performances on the pitch. I don't care about names.”
不管球員以往的數據、歷史還是年薪，只會考慮球員每天的狀態。
The words were in response to questioning on how Chelsea will avoid the
difficulties faced by Real Madrid recently, the club that famously has won
nothing for three years at the height of a ‘galacticos’ policy to grab
the world football spotlight.
球隊會否成為巨星政策的皇家馬德里那般？
“The second reason why we will succeed,” said Mourinho, “is that
Chelsea has a business area, a commercial area, and the club wants to
improve all the time that area, but never in conflict with the interests
of the football team.
球隊當然也想在知名度上獲得提升，不過不會牴觸到足球層面。
“When in this club we work differently in different areas but with
communication in a way that the football interests are in front of the
others, I think we can do it.
不同部門的人會互相溝通，但是一切以足球優先。
“For instance, if the club said to me on the afternoon the day before we
play the MLS All-Stars, we had to go to an adidas shop or something like
that, I would say no because the players have to rest before the final
training session.
舉個例，如果俱樂部要在比賽前參加愛迪達的活動，當然會被否決，因為球員要休息
“And because we have this kind of communication and they know my way of
managing the team and I know what the club needs in other areas, the
communication is good and we have no problems. I think we can do it.”
一切以溝通為原則，大家互相體諒。
