CHELSEA TV EXCLUSIVE: CUDICINI RETURNS

Back at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, Carlo Cudicini received a
fantastic reception from the Chelsea faithful.
Speaking exclusively to Chelsea TV after the game, our former goalkeeper,
who spent just under a decade with the Blues, talked about the fans
singing his name.
'It was brilliant,' said Cudicini. 'It was fantastic to come back here to
the Bridge and of course it was a great reception from the fans. And I
know it is quite difficult for them to call the name of a Tottenham
player, so I have to thank them.'
Admittedly, the support for the former Blue grew once Chelsea had secured
a lead, but Cudicini knows he will always have a place in his heart for
the fans at Stamford Bridge.
'They started supporting me when they were in front, which is easier,'
joked Cudicini. 'I always had a fantastic relationship with the Chelsea
supporters and I hope I will keep having it with them because of course
Chelsea has been a big part of my life and it will always be.'
From his position on the pitch, the Italian could see how his former side
have developed since he left for north London and was impressed by
Sunday's performance.
'Chelsea played well, once they had found a goal we lost a bit of shape
and then the 2-0 killed the game.'
And what did he think of his opposite man Petr Cech?
'He is a great friend and that's what matters. Everyone knows how good he
is and he did really well in the first half-an-hour, made two saves.
'Of course in the second half he didn't have much to do but in the first
half-an-hour he was probably their best player.'
