Franco Di Santo scored his first goal in English football as Blackburn
beat Burnley on Sunday.
The 20-year-old nodded home the second Rovers goal in a 3-2 win following
a mix-up in the Burnley defence, while also expertly laying off for David
Dunn to open the scoring at Ewood Park.
Di Santo, who has now featured five times, is on loan at Ewood Park until
January 1.

Elsewhere Michael Mancienne sat out of a Wolves Premier League game for
the first time this season, as Mick McCarthy's side earned a 1-1 draw away
at Everton. He will be hoping to regain his defensive place when Aston
Villa visit Molineux at the weekend.
Scott Sinclair was another to miss out on top flight action at the weekend,
the winger an unused sub in the 1-1 draw against Manchester City despite
scoring his first goal for Wigan in his last outing, a 2-1 defeat at Hull.
Incidentally, the KC Stadium was also the scene of Sinclair's first
Chelsea goal, in our 4-0 Carling Cup win there two years ago.
Miroslav Stoch has continued to impress for FC Twente in Holland, who have
now won six straight games at the top of the Eredivisie. At the weekend an
injury-time goal saw them beat champions AZ Alkmaar 3-2 to stay top.
Back in England, Jack Cork and Patrick van Aanholt remain at Coventry City,
who are having an inconsistent season in the Championship. With four wins,
four draws and four defeats, they sit in mid-table, with both Chelsea
youngsters regular starters.
Cork has started the last eight games, while Van Aanholt has returned to
the side after injury. Both players' totals are eight starts, plus one sub
appearance.
A head injury forced Ryan Bertrand off before half-time in Reading's 3-1
defeat by West Brom at the weekend, which will be assessed before Tuesday
night's game with QPR.
The 20-year-old defender has maintained his levels of performance
throughout the season despite the Royals' disappointing position under
former Stamford Bridge reserve team coach Brendan Rodgers.
In League One, Jacob Mellis was an unused sub on Saturday as Southampton
won 3-1 at Oldham, a result that lifted them from the foot of the table.
In the week previous, Mellis had played three times, and scored three
goals, for England Under 19s in European Championship qualifying.
So far, Jacob has played 10 times for the Saints in all competitions, and
will be at St. Mary's until January 2.
It was a bad weekend for both Liam Bridcutt and Tom Taiwo. Bridcutt's
Stockport were beaten 4-0 at home by Millwall, while Taiwo's Carlisle were
beaten 3-1 at Yeovil.
Bridcutt scored his first professional goal a fortnight ago, but couldn't
prevent a 3-1 loss to Port Vale in the Football League Trophy. He now has
11 games for Stockport under his belt while Taiwo has racked up 16
appearances for the Cumbrian side.
Finally Lee Sawyer still awaits a first league start of the season at
Southend, with six substitute appearances in League One, and another two
in the Carling Cup.
