Adrian Mutu is adamant that he will not give in to Chelsea's demands over
his proposed ban as a result of debts and the Romanian will not allow the
Premier League champions' pressure affect him when his season begins,
according to violanews.
The Fiorentina man's ban for testing positive for banned substances will
finish at the end of October and the striker is keen to start his season
for the Viola.
An on-going trial is looking at the possibility of wage reductions to
allow Chelsea to be compensated the claimed €17 million that the London
club believe they are owed. If a decision fails to be made final, the
hearing will then go to an arbitration panel. The player pleaded his
defence last month but it could be a long wait to find out whether FIFA
will look into a possible ban.
