It was an impressive clean sheet for the young Blues, who were under pressure for long spells but have now won four games on the bounce after a tricky start to the campaign. Windy conditions at Cobham made it difficult to play too much good football, with goalkeeper Jamal Blackman forced into some early action and a Norwich forward scuffing a good opportunity. Lewis Baker sent a free-kick over the bar before Feruz put Chelsea in front midway through the first half, finishing well after a John Swift through ball. The Blues had a second disallowed shortly afterwards, but Feruz did not take long to double the lead, heading home from inside the area after a precise cross picked the diminutive striker out. Blackman made one further terrific save before the break, and was kept busy throughout the second half as the visitors looked for a way back into the game, Chelsea having to make do with the odd break forward, but the youngsters held on for three further points.
