預備隊聯賽第17輪精華 http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2634480,00.html RESERVE REPORT: CHELSEA 0 ARSENAL 2 Posted on: Mon 05 Mar 2012 == Summary == A disappointing afternoon for our reserve side, and though there wasn't much to choose between the two teams, Arsenal left Cobham with all three points simply down to the fact they were more clinical in front of goal. Chuks Aneke gave the visitors the lead just before the half-hour mark when he rounded Jamal Blackman to fire into an empty net, and though we did have chances to equalise before the break, Emilio Martinez in the Arsenal goal was equal to everything we threw at him. There was a distinct lack of goalmouth action in the opening stages of the second half, but the Gunners doubled their lead in the 75th minute when Zak Ansah headed home from close-range to put the game out of our reach. The result will be a learning curve for Dermot Drummy's young side, but with a trip to Wolves to come next Monday, he will be looking for a positive reaction. == Team news == Jamal Blackman was restored to the starting line-up having missed the win over Fulham through injury, while George Saville partnered Conor Clifford in central midfield for the Blues. Islam Feruz played in just behind Patrick Bamford who was playing as the central striker in a front-three, flanked by Amin Affane and Lucas Piazon. == First half == After a frenetic opening, Kyle Elbicilio almost opened the scoring for the visitors in the sixth minute. His side-footed effort from outside the box never looked to be troubling Blackman in the Blues goal, but the ball took an unexpected bounce over the keeper's hand and hit the post. A clever run from Piazon shortly after resulted in a Chelsea free kick on the edge of the Arsenal penalty area, and Nathaniel Chalobah was very unfortunate to see his curling effort dip narrowly wide. http://www.chelseafc.com/javaImages/c/42/0,,10268~10568204,00.jpg
A minute later, Piazon raced on to a wonderful Saville pass, before cutting inside his man and teeing up the midfielder, but having timed his run to perfection, Saville could only steer his shot wide of Martinez's right-hand upright. The Blues were certainly enjoying the better chances in front of goal, and Chalobah came closest to breaking the deadlock when he rose highest to meet Affane's free kick, but the Arsenal goalkeeper Martinez pulled off a magnificent save to keep us at bay. Martinez was soon called into action once again only moments later when he parried a powerful left-footed Affane drive behind for a corner, but the resulting kick was easily cleared. Josh Rees came closest to opening the scoring for the visitors midway through the half when his strike took a deflection and evaded Blackman only to clip the post. Arsenal took the lead in the 29th minute, however, when an intelligent pass released Aneke, who rounded Blackman before calmly slotting home to give Neil Banfield's side the lead, somewhat against the run of play. As the Blues searched for an equaliser before the break, Piazon put Bamford through, but there was too much weight on the pass and the striker struggled to get his shot away, while at the other end, Nathan Ake was on hand to prevent the Gunners from doubling their advantage when Serge Gnabry was allowed to run unchallenged from wide on the left. == Second half == Lewis Baker replaced Affane at half time for the Blues, with the substitute playing in the hole behind Feruz, while Bamford moved out to play wide on the right. The second half began with both teams enjoying plenty of possession without creating any clear-cut opportunities. http://www.chelseafc.com/javaImages/ef/41/0,,10268~10568175,00.jpg
Adam Nditi made a fantastic block to prevent Arsenal going further ahead in the 56th minute, when Gnabry pulled back for Ansah, who fired goalwards only to see the defender appear from nowhere to make the crucial intervention. The Blues were almost level five minutes later but, once again, Martinez made a fantastic stop from a deflected Piazon strike that looked to be dipping under the bar. Both teams were lacking any efficiency in the final third, but when Todd Kane lost possession deep in our half, Gnabry, who had been Arsenal's most dangerous player, tested Blackman with a fizzing drive from outside the box. The game looked to be beyond Dermot Drummy's side, however, when Arsenal increased their lead with just over 15 minutes remaining. A surging run by the substitute Hector Bellerin saw him burst past Nditi, and as Blackman came off his line to make the save, the ball fell into the path of Zak Ansah whose header trickled over the line before the covering Chalobah could clear. The second goal forced Drummy into a double substitution, with Ismail Seremba and Alex Davey replacing Bamford and Nditi respectively. Arsenal's second goal appeared to galvanise them, and as the game wore on it was the away side who looked most like scoring again, with Chalobah making a clearance off the line from Gnabry whch would have put the game to bed, before the referee blew the full time whistle. Drummy was clearly frustrated at his side's performance, and felt we suffered from a lack of creativity. 'I didn't think we were inventive enough,' he admitted. 'Arsenal were organised and played on the counter attack, but with the amount of possession we had we should have created more chances. 'We had some young players in the side and it's all experience for them. When players come up against good opposition you have to have something different, you have to stay in the game and we didn't.'
