NAC Breda have completed the season long loan signing of Chelsea's highly
rated youngster Stipe Perica.
The 18 year old joined Chelsea this summer for around €2.4 million from
Croatian side Zadar, but since he is not eligible for a work permit in
England, the club have been forced to send him on loan.
At Zadar, Perica made his debut in October 2012, and the 6ft 3 forward
went on to score ten goals for the club in only 23 appearances.
He was recently part of the Croatia U-20 squad that participated in the
U-20 World Cup, but his side were knocked out in the group stages. Perica
was the youngest member of the squad, and played three matches, scoring a
goal in the win over New Zealand.
Perica was present at NAC Breda's 2-1 defeat to ADO Den Haag on Sunday,
and he will have seen that his new side are in desperate need for some new
fire power having scored only one goal all season.
Current NAC Breda strikers Anthony Lurling, and Alex Schalk have
disappointed so far this season, with Schalk scoring the clubs only goal,
but from the penalty spot.
Perica could make his debut as early as next week, as NAC Breda travel to
face Feyenoord.
