U18聯賽第23輪精華 http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3702243/ YOUTH REPORT: CHELSEA 0 FULHAM 3 Posted on: Fri 07 Mar 2014 == Summary == A youth side featuring 10 schoolboys across the 90 minutes went down to a league defeat at a sunny Cobham this afternoon [Friday]. A first-half strike from Dean O'Halloran was followed by second-half goals from Patrick Roberts and substitute Aaron Redford, as the league leaders strengthened their position at the top of the Under-18 table. == Team news == An impressive tally of seven Under-16s started for Adi Viveash as the manager made five changes from the side that began the last outing at home to Leicester. Charly Musonda returned to the team in midfield, alongside two schoolboys in Isaac Christie-Davies and Mukhtar Ali. Tammy Abraham, with four youth team goals to his name this campaign, led the line up front, supported from the flanks by Charlie Wakefield and Jay Dasilva. The back four was comprised of Ruben Sammut, Jake Clarke-Salter, George Brady and captain Jordan Houghton, protecting Bradley Collins in goal. == First half == The young Blues started the game brightly inside the opening 10 minutes, as Musonda fired a free-kick into the wall and Marek Rodak in the Fulham goal had to be alert to push away a couple of corners early on. Dean O'Halloran fired narrowly over for the visitors' first sight at goal, before down the other end a quick Chelsea counter-attack almost paid dividends as Clarke-Salter played the ball cleverly out of defence. Musonda fed Dasilva on the halfway line and he powered away towards goal, though the chance was snuffed out by some strong defending. Patrick Roberts had the ball in the back of the net for Fulham after 20 minutes with a smart finish once in behind, though a tight Blues defensive line saw the linesman adjudge the midfielder offside. Strong running off the right flank from Wakefield fashioned a chance for the supporting Dasilva in the box, though his shot was blocked well, before the deadlock was broken by the visitors. A ball down the left channel caused problems and Jordan Evans supplied a centre across the face of goal that was turned in by O'Halloran. http://www.chelseafc.com/javaImages/55/b/0,,10268~12651349,00.jpg
亞伯拉罕 A good Chelsea move after half an hour worked a sight at goal, as Abraham took the ball well on the turn and he supplied Wakefield down the right. The schoolboy winger beat his man before crossing into the box for the supporting Dasilva, though his header flew narrowly over Rodak's crossbar. == Second half == Musonda had a shot blocked inside the opening few minutes of the second period before Fulham doubled their advantage after 55 minutes. An excellent slaloming run from Roberts beat a couple of defenders and he finished confidently into the bottom corner. Chelsea responded as substitutes Trevoh Chalobah and Dominic Solanke combined, with the former digging out an excellent cross from right-back that Solanke head narrowly wide. Collins saved well from Roberts and then O'Halloran down the other end as the visitors continued to demonstrate their attacking threat. http://www.chelseafc.com/javaImages/4c/b/0,,10268~12651340,00.jpg
柯林斯 Wakefield forced a low save from Rodak before Fulham added a third goal in the final minutes. Substitute Aaron Redford made a clever run off the back of the last defender and was spotted with an inviting slide-rule pass before rounding Collins and finishing off the move with a tidy finish. The hosts continued to compete as the final whistle loomed but the league leaders saw the game out and claimed all three league points. Next up for the youth team is a trip to Newcastle in the FA Youth Cup quarter-final on Tuesday, 11 March. Before that Dermot Drummy's Under-21s entertain Middlesbrough at Aldershot's Electrical Services Stadium tomorrow [Saturday]. == Manager reaction == Viveash was eager to praise the efforts of his young side and reflected on Fulham's strength ultimately proving decisive. 'I'm very pleased with the younger players,' the manager told the official Chelsea website after the game. 'To start with seven Under-16s and manage to get an Under-15 on for half an hour, playing a strong, physical team, is really good. 'The first 20 minutes were very positive. We created three great chances but just didn't take them and if you don't against teams like Fulham then eventually they wear you down and I thought we just blew out physically with half an hour to go. We adopted a game plan in the first half that we don't usually play, with a mid-press, and we frustrated them for long periods.' Viveash also commended the efforts of young players coming into the youth side and being deployed in unfamiliar positions throughout the team. 'We lost a couple of centre-backs with injuries which is a difficult situation but Jake Clarke-Salter did really well in a foreign left-back position. We had Jay Dasilva playing left wing and Ruben Sammut at right-back so we're not only playing a lot of younger players but they're playing in foreign positions as well. 'The first goal changes the game and Fulham's finishes were clinical. I felt we could have defended all the three goals better but the young players will take a lot out of that game. The last two youth games have been proper physical Under-18 games and that's not a Chelsea Under-18 team out there today, so I think we did remarkably well to get a team out that could compete like that against a team top of the league and I'm very proud of them.'
