Chelsea Under-21 forward Alex Kiwomya will spend the next month on loan at
Barnsley.
It is the first loan spell for the pacy 18-year-old who mostly operates as
a winger but can play as a central striker. Since joining our Academy in
2010 he has been part of two successful FA Youth Cup campaigns and last
season's Under-21 league title win, and most recently scored for that age
group in the new Premier League International Cup.
Kiwomya is an England Under-19 international and the loan sees him return
to his native Yorkshire. He joins Barnsley until 2 February. They have
former Chelsea goalkeeper Ross Turnbull in their squad.
