of the campaign just completed. Club statistician Paul Dutton provides the

The season summary

Milestones of the season
Chelsea's record 26th consecutive season in the top flight, beating the
previous club record set between 1930 and 1962.
We won our 12th successive opening home Premier League game.
For the first time in our history the team scored six goals in one match
at Goodison Park.
Diego Costa is the second Chelsea player to score in his first four games
for the club (seven goals in total in those four matches). Jack Meredith
in 1928 was the other (four goals in four matches).
Diego Costa scored his 10th goal in his ninth Premier League game, the
equal-second quickest player to reach double figures for the club in the
top flight.

Chelsea's 4,000th league game was versus Aston Villa (h).
The 2,000th away league game was v Manchester City.
The 2,000th home league game was v Aston Villa.
The 5,000th league point was v Aston Villa (h).
We achieved our 4,000th point in the top flight in our 3,236th First
Division/Premier League game (Southampton h).
At Liverpool, the Blues recorded our 600th all-time away league victory.
No Premier League side in the 2014/15 season scored more goals in all
competitions than Chelsea.

John Terry is now our third all-time appearance maker.
Terry is the top scoring defender in Premier League history.
Dominic Solanke at 17 years, 38 days became our youngest Champions League
debutant when he came on against Maribor at home, beating Josh McEachran's
17 years, 198 days in 2010.
John Terry's 430th Premier League game (v Man Utd away) overtook Frank
Lampard's total for the club, making Terry the fourth-highest league
appearance maker in Chelsea history.
Diego Costa is the fourth Chelsea player to score 20 Premier League goals
in a season. The others were Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (twice), Didier
Drogba (twice) and Frank Lampard.
Jose Mourinho became the quickest Premier League manager to reach 400
points. He did it with his 174th game, 17 fewer than previous-fastest Sir
Alex Ferguson.
Mourinho became the fastest manager to reach 100 Premier League clean
sheets. He did it with his 185th game, 29 fewer than previous-quickest Sir
Alex Ferguson.
Roman Abramovich's 700th game as owner was v QPR (a).
There are also many notable team statistics from the campaign:
A club record 21 games unbeaten at the start of the season beat the
previous best of 16 set in 2005/06.
An equal club record (with 1925/26, Second Division) 14 league games
unbeaten at the start of a season. It is an outright club record in the
top flight.
An equal club record (with 1985/86) 15 successive away games unbeaten.
An equal club record (with 2007 and 2009) 23-game unbeaten run in all
competitions.
Chelsea scored our 500th goal under Jose Mourinho in his 272nd game in
charge.
An equal club record 12 successive home wins in all competitions.
A Premier League record 26 international broadcasters covered our home
match with Manchester City, beating the previous record of 19. The action
was broadcast to 650 million homes in 175 countries.
Over the course of the season, Chelsea spent a record 274 days at the top
of the Premier League table (beating Man United's 262 in 1993/94). We were
top for 268 consecutive days, another Premier League record.
The team had the best away record in the Premier League in 2014/15, with
38 points gained from the 19 matches and won more away games (11) than any
other top-flight team.
We won more league games (26) than any other team in the top division.
We kept the most clean sheets (17) and conceded the fewest league goals
(32).
A club-record fewest defeats in all competitions in a season was
achieved – only four, beating the previous record of six achieved in
1998/99, 2004/05, 2006/07, 2007/08 and 2008/09.

The Blues were the only one of the 92 teams not to lose at home in the
league. No team in those four league divisions conceded fewer league goals
at home than our nine.
We opened the scoring in 29 of our 38 Premier League matches, more than
any other team.
John Terry played every minute of every Premier League game. Gary
Pallister for Man United in 1992/93 is the only other outfield player to
achieve the feat for a club ending the campaign as Premier League
champions.
The Chelsea Golden Boot (for most goals in any competition for our
Under-18 team through to our first team) was won jointly by Dominic
Solanke and Tammy Abraham with 41 goals. It is the highest total in a
season since Neil Shipperley's 47 in 1992/93.
An equal club record away league goals scored in a 38-match season –
matching the 37 netted together in Mourinho's first season (2004/05).
We achieved the third-highest top-flight points total in our history (87)
behind 95 in 2004/05 and 91 in 2005/06, all three seasons with Mourinho as
manager.
The club's 10-year partnership with Samsung which included shirt
sponsorship came to an end last month. Here are some facts and figures
