A deflected Mikel strike and Remy's second, a fierce drive from outside the box, made it 3-0 to the Blues at half-time. There were six changes at the break as some of the players who joined up with the squad this week were introduced and one of those, Michy Batshuayi, scored with his first touch after Loftus-Cheek's strike was parried into his path. Another substitute, Pedro, scored twice, with Batshuayi adding his second in between the Spaniard's strikes. Remy then completed his hat-trick, and the scoring, from an impressive Cuadrado delivery in what was a productive outing for the Blues.
