Trevoh Chalobah (pictured) scored his first professional goal as 10-man
Ipswich Town earned a valuable point against Aston Villa. Chalobah
cancelled out Villa's opener with a stylish finish and then played his
part as the Tractor Boys held firm for a 1-1 draw, despite having a player
sent off in the first half.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Kasey Palmer played in Blackburn's 1-0 win
over Hull, with Todd Kane lining up for the Tigers. Reece James started
for Wigan who drew 2-2 at home against Nottingham Forest, with the
visitors netting a late penalty to earn a share of the spoils.
Lewis Baker came off the bench for Leeds who beat Rotherham 2-0, while
Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount both featured in Derby's 2-1 defeat at
Millwall. Jay Dasilva was a late substitute for Bristol City, who were
beaten 2-0 by Middlesbrough.
In the weekend's Premier League fixtures, Kenedy attracted the headlines
after Newcastle's goalless draw with Cardiff City, with the Brazilian
missing a stoppage-time penalty having earlier been involved in an
incident with a Bluebirds player, but not one which will result in
retrospective action.
In League One, Dujon Sterling helped Coventry City pick up their first
three points of the season thanks to a 1-0 win over Plymouth. In League
Two, Nathan Baxter kept a clean sheet as Yeovil recorded an impressive 4-0
win at Notts County. Jacob Maddox played for Cheltenham who lost 1-0
against Carlisle.
Three Blues loanees were on the scoresheet in last week's Carabao Cup
first-round fixtures. Tomori and Mount both found the back of the net for
Derby, who beat Oldham 2-0, and Palmer netted for Blackburn as they
thrashed Carlisle 5-1.

Baker provided the assist for Leeds' second goal in a 2-1 win over Bolton,
with Jamal Blackman making his debut between the sticks for the Elland
Road club. Maddox started for Cheltenham Town, who beat Colchester 3-2 on
penalties.

Chalobah will be especially pleased with his goal against Aston Villa on
Saturday as he missed a spot-kick in Ipswich's penalty shoot-out defeat to
Exeter. Dasilva played at the back for Bristol City who lost 1-0 to
Plymouth. Sterling was used in a more advanced position on the right for
Coventry in a 2-0 defeat against Oxford United and Charlie Colkett came
off the bench as Shrewsbury were beaten 2-1 by Burton Albion. Baxter was
in goal as Yeovil suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Aston Villa.

There was Europa League action last week as well, with Danilo Pantic
providing two assists for Partizan in a 3-2 win over Nordsjaelland as the
Serbian club progressed with a 5-3 aggregate victory. Mario Pasalic also
set up a goal, for Italian club Atalanta, who advanced thanks to a 6-1
aggregate win over Hapoel Haifa. Partizan will face Besiktas this
Thursday, with Atalanta taking on FC Copenhagen. Jake Clarke-Salter was
sent off for Vitesse as the Dutch club exited the competition following a
2-0 aggregate loss to Basel.

Across Europe's leagues at the weekend, Ola Aina made his Serie A debut
for Torino, coming on as a first-half substitute to replace an injured
team-mate, but there was late disappointment as Roma scored a last-minute
winner.

In France's Ligue 1, Matt Miazga featured at the back for 10-man Nantes in
a 2-0 loss against Dijon. In the Dutch Second Division, Kyle Scott made
his bow as a second-half substitute for Telstar who were beaten 1-0 by
Waalwijk.
There was a good result for Nathan and Atletico Mineiro in Brazil, 3-0
away at Botafogo, although the goals came after the attacker had been
replaced on the hour.
