England's Under-17s were in action on Tuesday as they faced Lithuania and there were a number of Chelsea Academy players involved in the 3-1 win. Michael Golding (pictured) who captained the side scored a brace as the young central midfielder delivered a fantastic performance to help the young Three Lions to victory. Golding has been involved in a few competitions this season and has also been named once on the bench for Chelsea Under-21 side. https://i.imgur.com/MPpnXOv.jpg

Michael Golding captained the England team today Other players who were involved in this afternoon's fixture were Ted Curd who started in goal, Josh Acheampong and Kiano Dyer. Today's game was the first of three qualification matches for England during the next week. The Young Lions beat Georgia earlier this afternoon with a comfortable 6-2 win in their second match of the group stage in qualifying for the 2023 European Under-17 Championship. This victory means that they make it through to the elite round of qualifying with a game to spare. Some Chelsea players were involved in today's game as Ted Curd, Josh Acheampong and Travis Akomeah all played 90 minutes. https://i.imgur.com/A7yZnb2.jpg

Travis Akomeah was one of three Chelsea players to play the full game today against Georgia Michael Golding captained the side again, fresh off of his brace in the the previous game, which was against Lithuania. Kiano Dyer was also involved as almost half of the England line-up included players from Cobham. On this occasion the spoils were shared, the 1-1 draw meaning England go through to the next stage as group winners. Ted Curd was the only Chelsea player who started this fixture with Michael Golding and Kiano Dyer featuring off the bench.
