The Burdi brothers are known for their arm strength. Drew (the oldest) was
a quarterback at Western Michigan, while Zack (the youngest) hit 94 mph last
spring as a high school senior before heading to Louisville. The best arm in
the family belongs to Nick, who can reach triple digits with his fastball.
Burdi reached 97 mph in high school but an inconsistent senior season
dropped him to the 24th round of the 2011 Draft, ensuring that he'd attend
college. He has hit 100 mph and regularly pitched in the upper 90s with his
fastball during his two years with Louisville. He gets good life on his heater
and hitters can't sit on it because if they try, he can make them look bad
with a slider that can creep into the 90s.
While he'll occasionally throw a decent changeup, Burdi projects as a
two-pitch reliever in pro ball. The Cardinals have toned down his delivery,
but it still features effort and that costs him some command. His ability to
overpower hitters could get him drafted in the first round and make him a big
league closer.

Jeff Thompson / Austin Kubitza is commpletely RP for me
即使他們還在先發輪值中
Calvin Drummond / Zac Reininger / Will LaMarche 則已經往牛棚發展
剩下首輪Jonathon Crawford跟二輪Kevin Ziomek看來有機會在大聯盟當SP
5輪的Buck Farmer目前投得很好 但最多就五號or長中繼的料
Burdi有好到會是我們今年奪冠牛棚的最後一塊拼圖?? I don't think so...
希望球團還是能以draft the best player available為戰略
兩個top ten天份 Jeff Hoffman / Erick Fedde
剛動TJ可能掉下來 (Hoffman應該很難掉這麼遠)
Tyler Beede甚至被預測在我們下一順位被選
他的ACE的stuff, 就算最終先發養失敗 轉牛一樣是elite closer等級
兩個我很喜歡的高中投手 Sean Reid-Foley / Luis Ortiz
還有Michael Chavis他的揮棒速度非常棒 現在農場最缺的就是position player天份

If Beede was there and they took Burdi instead, I may have to stop watching
their draft for health reasons.

補上MLB的話
The Tigers have had 50 Draft picks make it to the Majors over the past
10 years, tied for the third most of any team. Those players' combined
106.6 Wins Above Replacement ranks 10th in the big leagues. Both totals
are fairly impressive for a team that has given up Draft picks and filled
many of its most pressing needs from outside the organization.
