The Los Angeles Dodgers announced today that they have agreed
to terms with right-handed pitcher Elmer Dessens on a one-year
contract with a mutual option, according to Dodger Executive
Vice President and General Manager, Paul DePodesta.
"Elmer was a valuable addition to our relief corps down the
stretch and we expect him to contribute again this season,"
said DePodesta. "Though he excelled out of the bullpen last
season, he has also been an effective big league starter and
will provide us with great flexibility."
