Dodgers, Uribe agree to 3-year deal
The Dodgers are grabbing one of their arch-rival Giants' postseason heroes,
agreeing with free-agent infielder Juan Uribe on a three-year, $21 million
contract, pending results of a physical.

Read MLB Buzz Blog. Uribe, 31, could play second base for the Dodgers,
replacing Ryan Theriot, who might not be offered a contract. He also would
offer protection for the oft-injured Rafael Furcal at shortstop and can even
play third, enabling the Dodgers to use Casey Blake in left field.
Uribe isn’t an elite hitter, as evidenced by his .300 career on-base
percentage. But he established career highs with 24 homers and 85 RBI last
season and hit big homers in Game 6 of the NLCS and Game 1 of the World Series.
Furcal, 32, could be entering his final season with the team. His $12 million
club option for 2012 becomes guaranteed only if he makes 600 plate appearances,
a figure he's reached only once in the past three seasons.
Blake, 37, is also entering the final year of his deal; the Dodgers hold a $6
million option on him for 12.
A multi-year contract for Uribe would protect the Dodgers at multiple positions
this year and beyond.
ESPN.com first reported that Uribe and the Dodgers were close on a three-year
deal.

的備胎，有需要的話也能支援 3B，Furcal 跟 Blake 的合約也都將到期 。
(Furcal 2012 12M 的 club option 要在他下季拿到 600 PA 情況下才會自動生效)
生涯 OBP 只有 .3 的 Uribe 不是一個太強悍的打者，不過今年打出生涯最多的24HR
與 85 RBI，NLCS 跟 WS 的關鍵全壘打讓人印象深刻。

可以請問 madboy 大為什麼覺得這約簽得不好嗎？@@
Garland 今年 FG 做的 WAR 只有 0.8，不過前三年是 3.6 1.9 2.3，但 BR 做的 WAR
今年是近三年最高，有看到報導說他肩膀的的 MRI有嚇到其他隊不敢給他更好的offer
不過我們給他的是 1+1，而且明年保障部分只有 5M，12年 option 也要他明年丟超過
190 IP 才會生效，加上他幾乎是年年都能丟兩百局的 workhorse，好像也不用過度擔
心他的健康問題？
看起來這約不管是價碼、條件跟長度看起來好像都不具有太多的風險，所以滿好奇mad
大覺得合約簽得不漂亮的理由，不知道能不能請你幫忙解惑？
