May 7 LHP Brian Shouse threw only four pitches and got the first two outs of
the ninth inning, but he was awarded the victory under Major League Baseball
rule 10.17 (c). The idea is that a reliever who is "ineffective in a brief
appearance" (as Dan Wheeler was) can't be awarded the victory "when at least
one succeeding relief pitcher pitches effectively in helping his team maintain
the lead" (as Shouse did).
簡單說，今天紀錄組引用了一個比較少用的規則...
當某位RP(A君)短暫出賽，卻投很差把領先搞掉....
而下個半局他的隊友反敗為勝，而接手的RP(B君)看起來比較有貢獻的話...
就把這個勝投從A君身上拔掉記給B君....
但我們要知道1.這個規則很少被用到
2.如果今天 Shouse 多投一個人次拿到三出局...
那他就會有SV的紀錄，而SV跟WIN是不能記在同一個人身上的...
所以若是他多投1/3局，那勝投就還會是記在A君(Wheeler)頭上....
