The story of one of our heroes, from a country who had one of the most ancient Parliaments in Europe, where to achieve this heroic position is not necessary to kill any man. Macia was a patriot. He was a colonel in the Spanish army until he was forced to choose between Catalonia, the nation without state in Spain since 1714 when we lost a war that made us become part the Spanish state, and Spain. Catalonia, with its capital Barcelona worldwide known because it was where the Olympic Games took place in 1992. The film takes place from the 1905 until 1933. Macia started as a Spanish soldier and ended becoming a convinced Catalan pro-independence. He struggled always with honor to get the freedom for our country. Unfortunately, the dictatorship in Spain with Franco hid his portrait.
