Porto retain Portuguese league title

Porto won their second successive Portuguese Premier League title when they
beat Desportivo Aves 4-1 at home in the final round of the season on Sunday.

Argentine striker Lisando Lopez scored twice for Porto, who led the standings
from the first round and ended with 69 points from 30 matches for their 22nd
league crown.

Sporting, who beat Belenenses 4-0 at home, grabbed second spot one point
behind to secure an automatic place in the Champions League.

Porto, watched by more than 50,000 fans at the Dragao, went ahead after 27
minutes when Brazilian striker Adriano headed in a cross from the right by
winger Ricardo Quaresma.
Aves equalised seven minutes later when midfielder Moreira tapped in a free
kick by Sergio Nunes but Porto went ahead again after the interval with
Lopez's first goal.
An own goal by Aves defender Jorge Ribeiro gave Porto their third and Lopez
added the fourth one minute from the end with an unstoppable shot inside area
from a cross by Quaresma.
Sporting's Brazilian striker Liedson scored their first goal against
Belenenses to finish as the league's top scorer with 15. His compatriot
Alecsandro, winger Yannick and midfielder Perreirinha completed the rout.

最終以15個進球排在聯賽射手榜的首位。
