Porto coach Villas Boas to resign - club statement
LISBON, June 21 (Reuters)

Porto coach Andre Villas Boas has told the Portuguese champions that he
intends to resign from his post at the club, Porto said in a statement on
Tuesday.
“Porto has been notified of the intention of coach Andre Villas Boas to
terminate, without just cause, his contract with the club, immediately
activating his release clause,” Porto said.
The coach had a contract with Porto until 2013 with a release clause of 15
million euros ($21.52 million), and media reports this week have linked him
to a move to Premier League side Chelsea.
