Bartoli說這場比賽在心理跟身體上都非常艱難,
草地也是她表現最好的場地,她說她比去年強健許多,她有信心走更遠

Wimbledon 2007 semifinalist Marion Bartoli continued to cruise through the
women’s draw, defeating Anna Chakvetadze 7-5 6-3, the Frenchwoman saying
afterwards that she was enjoying Devonshire Park’s grass courts.
“The match was really tough physically and mentally but I think physically at
the end I was a little bit better than her,” said world No.12 Bartoli.
“I played some really great points at tough times. Grass is definitely my best
surface. The faster the court the better I play and this year I’m a lot fitter
than last year. If I can believe in myself I think I can go far.”
The women’s draw also farewelled 2006 Wimbledon champion Amelie Mauresmo
courtesy of two epic tiebreaks, the Frenchwoman saying she was mystified by her
7-6(8) 7-6(13) loss to qualifier Ekaterina Makarova.
“I have no idea. I don’t have any explanations to give you,” said world
No.l7 Mauresmo. “She did just a little better than me. I took chances and it
didn’t work. I guess the main thing is to forget about this match and look
forward to Wimbledon.”
