There's 'Kohlschreiber fever' at Melbourne …
主要是說到因為去年Kohlschreiber因為第二輪對上Nadal時令人印象深刻,
所以今年回來比賽受到歡迎,他自己形容第一輪比賽的氣氛像是在足球場內的比賽.
There's 'Kohlschreiber fever' at Melbourne Park

Less than a week after conquering Auckland with his win at the Heineken Open
in Auckland, Philipp Kohlschreiber has Melbourne firmly in his sights.
The No.29 seed is set to excite Melbourne crowds, just as he did one year ago.
Last year on Rod Laver Arena, Kohlschreiber played Rafael Nadal, and despite
going down in four tight sets he managed to capture the hearts of the fans as
he showcased his repertoire of stirring shots and endearing happy-go-lucky
attitude.
Aussie tennis fans have a long memory and Kohlschreiber lost no admirers that
night.
In fact, “Kohlschreiber fever” is alive and well at Melbourne Park judging
by the support he received at his round one match against Croatia’s Roko
Karanusic.
Not to be outdone by the parochial Croatian support, German fans were joined
by Aussies, the most of whom were riding on a bout of the “ fever”, to
ignite the outside courts and create a playing atmosphere that Kohlschreiber
described as being similar to a ‘football stadium’.
The glitz and glamour of a Rod Laver Arena appearance may only be one match
away for the German, yet he insists that the outside courts are where he
feels at home.
However, he should enjoy the serenity while he can, because it won’t be long
before he has a permanent booking on one of the big courts.
The 24-year-old is rising through the ranks of men’s tennis and is quickly
making his mark.
While inconsistency has plagued his game in the past, Kohlschreiber has put
that behind him and says that a strong will to learn is the main reason
behind his recent improvement.
“I’m a keen learner,” he says.
“I’ve worked hard and I’ve had a great preparation for this tournament, so
hopefully I can go a long way.”
He hopes to continue his successful start to the year here in Melbourne and
go on to be a regular fixture at the top of the men’s rankings.
While many pundits see a third round clash with Andy Roddick on the horizon,
Kohlschreiber is keen to stay level-headed and not look too far ahead.
For Kohlschreiber it was important to negotiate his first round assignment.
“The first match is a small hurdle that needs to be overcome,” he says.
“It’s always dangerous to look too far forward.”
But he faces a colossal task if he is to stop the crowds talking, for as long
as fans are having fun with his cool name and he continues on his winning
ways, “Kohlschreiber fever” will fill the air of Melbourne Park.
And Kohlschreiber is happy as long as his fans are.
“It’s just great to play here,” he says.
“The people are very friendly and the atmosphere is just great.”
