2008/02/23 Daniela : I'm unable to play in Dubai
Daniela will not play the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships next week.
Daniela, how are you ?
I’m still trying to recover from a bad flu strain that started when I was in
Antwerp. Ugh, it’s been really terrible and I’ve been sick for more than a
week now. Hopefully I can shake it off soon. I am drinking lots of hot tea,
juices and probably overdosing on Vitamin C by now !
Did you continue the training during this week ?
I gave it a shot yesterday for about half an hour on court. I think it back
fired because I had zero energy for the remainder of the day. That was tough.
Basically, I have been doing nothing but reading and watching movies from my
bed.
Will you play the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships next week ?
Shame that I’m unable to play in Dubai :-( My experiences at the tournament
have been great. I look forward to returning next year.

2008/02/20 I have special place in my heart for Paris
Little break about tennis, Daniela talk about her week at Paris during the Open
Gaz de France.
Daniela, did you appreciate your week at Paris ?
I have special place in my heart for Paris. The food : baguettes, cheese,
crepes and coffee are by far superior ! Café culture, architecture, fashion…
Everything is wonderful ! The French know how to really enjoy the sweets of
life.
Did you take some of your time for visiting Paris ?
Disappointingly, I didn’t have much time for anything except to practice and
train. My friend from Barcelona came to see me one night and so, we went to
an amazing sushi restaurant near the Place Vendôme. But, if I am not playing
a tournament before Roland-Garros, I’d like to come a week early to prepare
and do more sightseeing. Would be cool to check out Palace de Versailles !
Did you go on Champs Elysees doing some shopping ?
Oh my god, how fabulous is Louis Vuitton ! I couldn't leave Paris without
stopping by the fashionable mega store on the Champs. I bought my trainer
Marco, whose birthday was coming up, a nice gift. Also for my family. And it
was hard but I managed to find a few things for myself. Think I deserved a
treat or two after a job well done in Melbourne, my best grand slam performance
to date :-)

2008/02/18 Daniela : I would hate to miss an other tournament
Daniela give some news of her health for her official website.
Daniela, first, could you give me some news of your health ? How do you feel ?
Basically terrible. I could feel something bad was coming and I started to have
flu like symptoms late last week in Antwerp. I tried my best to finish the
quarters there but I didn’t have anything left in me. So finally, in the third
set, I was forced to pull.
Did you take a cold between Paris, Madrid and Antwerp ?
I felt fine when I arrived in Antwerp and was looking forward to competing but
as the early days passed, I started to feel drained. Well, I went skiing in
Europe straight after Melbourne, followed by Paris, a few days in Madrid and
then Antwerp so I guess I didn’t have much of a break physically speaking…
Will you play at Dubai next week ?
I will take it super easy this week and sleep as much as possible in hopes for
a quick recovery. I am so grateful to have my mom around ! I hope to be well
enough and ready to play in Dubai… I would hate to miss an other tournament !
不過還是沒能及時把病養好阿～！可惜
相較一些八卦或筆戰的新聞
我反而比較喜歡這一類生活化的文章^^
