關於30天的交易規則有下列兩條：
If a team trades a player and the player is waived by the receiving team,
the player's original team cannot re-sign that player for 30 days (during
the season) or 20 days (during the offseason) following the date of the
trade.
如果原隊交易出去的球員被接收的球隊揮棄，則原隊在球季中交易後30天內不能重新
簽回該球員，或是在非球季交易後20天內不能重新簽回該球員。
這也就是為什麼史代課老師原本計畫在被交易至籃網且被揮棄後，還要等30天才能回
到小牛，注意這30天是從交易日開始算，而不是揮棄日。
A draft rookie may be traded starting 30 days after he signs his contract.
選秀會的新人在簽約後30天才可以被交易。
因此如果魯被我們揮棄後，30天之內老鷹不能簽，其他球隊則沒有這個限制。
