Spanish High Court Decrees That January 2 Matches Will Go Ahead As Planned The High Court in Spain has decreed that La Liga matches scheduled for January 2 will go ahead as planned after ruling against the AFE (Professional Footballers' Association) this morning. The LFP (Professional Football League) had taken the AFE to court following their decision to refuse to play this Sunday, defending their arrangement of matches on that date, despite the AFE’s lack of conformity. League president, Jose Luis Astiazaran, defended the position yesterday, claiming that lost revenue as a result of suspension would cost Spanish football up to €20 million. The LFP argued that fixtures had been planned on that date since the summer, and branded the actions of the AFE as “clumsy”, and the law has found in their favour. Therefore, the five matches due to take place this Sunday, including Barcelona v Levante at the Camp Nou, will go ahead as normal. -- 總之是裁定照常進行了 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 211.75.189.169
