Coria, Moya Reach Buenos Aires Semifinals
Top seed Guillermo Coria claimed his 19th consecutive clay court victory when
he defeated French teenager Richard Gasquet, 7-6(1), 6-1 to reach the Buenos Ai
res final. Coria, who saved one set point at 5-6 in the first set, will get a c
hance to avenge his loss in last year's final to Carlos Moya after the Spaniard
advanced to the final for the third time in his three career appearances here.
This is Coria's third tournament in 2004 and he is 7-1 in singles this year
Second-seeded Moya progressed to his third final in Buenos Aires by beating Arg
entina's Jose Acasuso, 7-6(3), 7-5. Moya has never lost a match in Buenos Aires
and has a record of 14-0. He won here in 1995 and 2003.
The Spaniard who currently holds an INDESIT ATP Entry Ranking of No. 10, is 13-
1 on the year in singles (he won in Chennai and retired during the Sydney final
against Lleyton Hewitt) . Moya today played his seventh tie-break of the seaso
n; he has won them all

Coria 戦 think I played a great second set. In the first I wasn't as consistent
. The second set was incredible. I was very solid.?
戦 think that the three tournaments I won in Europe, I played amazingly; here,
I am not playing that well, but I am fighting hard and am winning difficult
against difficult opponents and it is what counts.?
専asquet is a great player and he is very solid, when he plays relaxed. I think
today, he needed to be maybe a little calmer to think the important points.?
Gasquet: ?It was a great week for me. My best result ever. I had a set point in
the first set; it is true, but I am not disappointed. I entered the match very
tired from yesterday. I am surprised I could play this good in the first set
and almost won it.?

players. I never thought I was going to be in the semifinals and beat good
players like I did.?
Acasuso: 戦 am pretty happy with the result here. This is my third tournament
of the year, I feel I am missing some competition, so I am happy. If I don't
get injured I think I should have a great year in 2004. Physically I feel great
, I could have kept on playing, but I still think I haven't reached my best
level yet.
Moya has one of the best forehands in the game. I played a little too short and
he took advantage of it.?
Moya: 戦 am very happy to be in the final again, for the third time. I don't
know what it is. I think this tournament is magic or something. I love it here,
the people, the conditions?everything is great. I survived tough situations
throughout the week and I am happy too be alive still and in the final again.
It is just great.?
荘Tomorrow it will be a hard match, I know it. Coria improved a lot since last
year, and he is at home but anything can happen in a final.?
