Former Wimbledon winner Ivanisevic withdrew with a back injury, while 2002 Wimbledon runner-up Nalbandian has pulled out with an ankle injury. The 32-year-old Ivanisevic, who has posted a 1-3 record this year, will be replaced in the main draw by Frenchman Antony Dupuis. The former No. 2 earned his first win of the season with a 7-6(2), 3-6, 7-6(3) triumph over Bohdan Ulihrach in Milan. He has suffered opening-round setbacks to Sjeng Schalken in Rotterdam and Arnaud Clement in Marseille in his last two tournaments. The 22-year-old Nalbandian opened the season by reaching his second straight Australian Open quarterfinal where he fell to eventual-champion Roger Federer, 5-7, 4-6, 7-5, 3-6. He was forced to retire from February's Davis Cup match again st Morocco's Hicham Arazi with an ankle injury and has played just one match — a straight sets loss to Jarkko Nieminen in Dubai last week — since that Davis Cup defeat.
