3-LLEYTON HEWITT (AUS) vs. JOSE ACASUSO (ARG)
Acasuso is most know for his shocking takedown of Andy Roddick at the
French Open in June. A big server with equally strong groundstrokes,
he is a stiff mover, which is why he hasn't made a bigger push toward
the top echelons of the game.
Former U.S. champ Hewitt should have few problems contending with
Acasuso's basic attack, unless the Argentine serves huge all day long.
The Aussie is happy to counterpunch and is an expert at drawing his
foes into awkward positions. Once Acasuso figures out that he will have to
leg out a five-setter to win this contest, he'll begin to overplay, which
is just the way Hewitt likes it. Hewitt will stroll through in straight
sets.
