Benitez rejects penalty practice

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez says his team have not made a point of
practicing penalties before the Champions League final.
Two years ago opponents Milan beat Juventus in the final on penalties,
and Alan Kennedy's spot-kick saw Liverpool beat Roma in the 1984 final.
"The problem is not kicking the ball properly but the pressure, and you
can't practise that," said Benitez.
"Our idea is to win at the end of 90 minutes, though."
Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti agrees with Benitez up to a point, but has
taken a different approach.
"Of course we have practiced them, even if you cannot recreate the tension
of the final," he said.
Milan captain Paolo Maldini has lifted the trophy four times before, most
recently two years ago at Old Trafford.
But Benitez says he did not believe Milan's experience would make much
difference.
"They have a lot of players with experience, maybe more of them have played
in finals than us," he said.
"But we are really hungry and we can balance their experience with the
hunger we have."
