Radke, struggling with pain, plans to retire after season
Radke has been vacillating on whether he will retire, but he said he is
building a new home in Florida and doesn't have plans for surgery. The
veteran Twins righthander told me his plans now are to retire after this year.
"I've had some problems for about the last three years. It just hasn't been
feeling right," he said. "I've got a tear in there, but you just got to pitch
through it. You got to pitch through the pain.
In addition to having arm problems for the last two seasons, Radke discovered
he had been living in a house on Lake Minnetonka that was infected with mold,
affecting the health of his entire family. He has moved.
